The MS is bound with other letters in the collection in calf.
Additional Comments:
The MS was sealed using the ‘Tuck-and-Seal’ method. The wax seal is no longer extant but has caused some damage to the same. The paper was also folded to create a left-hand margin on both the recto and verso sides. There is some slight staining to the bottom of f.244r. Ink from the previous page has transferred onto the left-hand side of f.244r.

A second hand has added a bibliographical reference to the upper left-hand corner of f.243r. The same hand has also endorsed the MS in the upper right-hand corner of f.234r as ‘Lettre LIV’. Part of l.5-7 on f.234v has been underlined. A Basle postmark has been stamped over the address on f.235v, and a second postmark has been drawn over the same.
