The paper is countermarked with the initials ‘GR’.

Additional Comments:

The letter was sealed using the ‘Tuck, Fold, and Seal’ method before sending. There are remnants of the wax seal on f.66v, and the removal of the seal has caused some damage to the same. There is also a tear to the left-hand side of f.65r and several small tears along the fold lines throughout. There is a blob of wax in the upper right-hand corner of f.65v. The ink at the end of l.11 of f.65r has smudged, and there are several ink blots on f.66v.

The MS has been endorsed as ‘No.29’ in the upper left-hand corner of f.65r. Several postmarks have been drawn over the address on f.66v.
