A second hand has endorsed the MS as ‘No.56’ in the upper left-hand corner of p.105. The same hand has also added a bibliographical reference to the bottom of p.105, a marginal note to the left-hand margin of p.105 identifying a text referenced in the letter as La Pucelle d’Orleans, and a footnote to p.106 identifying an individual mentioned in the letter. The notes are linked to the main text through the use of corresponding symbols. The Latin quotation on l.1 of p.105 has been underlined.
