A footnote has been added to the bottom of p.43, identifying an individual mentioned in the letter. This note is linked to the main text through the use of a corresponding symbol. There is a correction to l.10-11 in the form of a crossing out with corrected text added superscript. A second hand has endorsed the MS as ‘No.14*’ in the upper left-hand corner of p.43. The same hand has also added a bibliographical reference to the bottom of p.43. A third hand has likewise added a note to the bottom of p.43 that states that the MS was produced by a copyist of Charles-Joseph Panckoucke.
