The MS is bound with other letters in the collection in calf.
Additional Comments:
The MS was sealed using the ‘Tuck-and-Seal’ method. The wax seal is partially extant on f.248v and has caused some damage to the same. The paper was also folded to create a left-hand margin on both the recto and verso sides.There is a small hole running through the lower left-hand corner of the MS, and some slight staining to the lower right-hand corner of the MS. There are a series of dots of ink above the hole on f.247r. There are two pairs of pin holes on the right-hand side of the MS.

A second hand has added a bibliographical reference to the upper left-hand corner of f.247r. A Basle postmark has been stamped over the address, and other postmarks have been drawn over the same.
