280 items from the Madeira-Vaughan Collection were purchased from E.W. Madeira for $4000 and accessioned in 1946. 3 letters purchased from Fleming. One letter presented by Earl E. Moore. The copies of the 73 DuPont letters were acquired from Euletheiran Mills Historical Society and accessioned in 1970.
