Letter from Voltaire to Charles Bordes, written in the hand of Wagnière and dated 11 April 1768.
Detailed Summary:
Voltaire begins by saying that he begs the dear correspondent to post all of the little pocket pistols. He adds that it seems that we do not always pull our powder from the sparrows and that we sometimes frighten the vultures.
A second hand has endorsed the MS as ‘No.78’ in the upper left-hand corner of p.211. The same hand has also added a bibliographical reference to the bottom of p.211. There is a minor correction to the dateline on p.211 in the form of a crossing out.
