Jean-Baptiste-Guillaume Haillet de Couronne and Louis-Auguste Dambourney both acted as secrétaire perpétuel to l’Academie des Sciences, Belles-Lettres et Arts de Rouen.
There is some slight staining across f.1r. There is an imprint of a diamond-shaped item in the upper left-hand corner of f.1r, and some minor damage to the lower right-hand corner of the same.
The letter has been signed by Jean-Baptiste-Guillaume Haillet de Couronne and Louis-Auguste Dambourney, though the letter is in the hand of neither of these two men. A fourth hand has added a bibliographical reference to the bottom of p.1v. There are several minor corrections throughout in the form of corrected text being written over the top of incorrect text in a darker ink.
