The final word of l.2 on p.155 has been partially scratched away and corrected text has been written over the top. The final lines of the letter on p.158 have been added in Marie-Louise Denis’ hand, and the address on p.153 has been added in Voltaire’s hand. A fourth hand has endorsed the MS as ‘No.64’ in the upper left-hand corner of p.153. The same hand has also added a bibliographical reference to the bottom of p.153.
