There is a small stain in the upper left-hand corner of p.70, and an ink splatter over l.1-3 of the same page. There are also several ink blots at the bottom of p.72.

A second hand has endorsed the MS as ‘No.36*’ in the upper left-hand corner of p.69 The same hand has also added a bibliographical reference to the bottom of p.69. Part of l.7-8 have been underlined on p.69 and there is a minor correction to the first word of l.6 on p.71 in the form of corrected text being written over the top of incorrect text.
