The MS has been folded into four (since unfolded). There is a stain to the right-hand side of f.77r and to the top of f.78v. There is a small ink blot on the upper left-hand side of f.77r, and a large ink blot over the signature at the bottom of f.78r. A partial fingerprint may be seen over this ink blot. Ink from the signature has transferred onto the lower left-hand corner of f.78v during the folding process.

The MS has been endorsed as ‘#.35’ in the upper left-hand corner of f.77r. There is a minor correction to l.6 of f.77r in the form of a crossing out. The date line has been added in Voltaire’s hand. The title of the work mentioned on l.4-5 of f.78v has been underlined.
