There are also remnants of red was at the top of f.15r. The upper portion of the bifolium fold line has been torn to enable each folio to be folded to quarto size. The outer edges of the MS are also torn. There is an ink splatter in the upper right-hand corner of f.15r, and a hole at the top of f.18.

Decorations:

Undecorated

Additions:

The MS has been endorsed ‘No.7′ at the top of f.15r. Voltaire has added a postscript in his own hand to the bottom of f.17r. Select words and phrases have been underlined throughout. There are also several corrections throughout in the form of the addition of omitted words superscript and crossings out. A later hand has added the numbers ’74’ and ’80’ to f.18v.
