Additions:

There is a minor correction to the end of l.7 of p.96 in the form of a crossing out with corrected text added superscript, and to the antepenultimate line of the same in the form of a crossing out. A brace has been added to the left of l.8-12 of p.96, and a note reading ‘retranché’ has been added beside this. The copyist has added two provenance notes to the MS. The first, in the upper left-hand corner of p.95, suggests incorrectly that the letter constitutes part of a longer letter sent to Frederick II of Prussia. The second, at the bottom of p.95, suggests that it was taken from a volume owned by Marie-Louise Denis. A footnote has been added to the bottom of p.95 identifying a text referenced in the letter. A second hand has endorsed the MS as ‘No.49’ in the upper left-hand corner of p.95. The same hand has also added a bibliographical reference to the bottom of p.95.
