The second folio has been torn away. The paper has been folded to create a left-hand margin on both the recto and verso sides. The fold lines suggest that the letter may have been sealed using the ‘Tuck-and-Seal’ method before sending.
The first four lines of f.1r and the final two lines of f.1v have been crossed through. Parts of l.11-12 on f.1v have been underlined. The MS has been endorsed as ’33’ in the upper left-hand corner of f.1r.
