Part of the manuscript collection bequeathed by Madame Du Deffand to Horace Walpole. The MS was sold to D.O. Dyce-Sombre at the Strawberry Hill sale in 1842. Dyce-Sombre’s nephew, W.R. Parker-Jervis, sold the manuscript in 1920. It was later acquired by Wilmarth Sheldon Lewis in 1938.
