Voltaire has corrected the work throughout. The corrections take a variety of forms: crossing out, crossing out with corrected text added superscript, and corrected text being written over the top of incorrect text. Select words and phrases have also been underlined throughout. Annotations and marginal notes have been added to p.221, 232, and 225. The marginal note in Voltaire’s hand found in the upper left-hand corner of p.221 providing an alternative title has been crossed out. The latter two notes are linked to the main text through the use of corresponding symbols/
