Wagnière has added a note in the upper left-hand corner reading: ‘P[ou]r la Gazette littéraire’. ‘N°:’ has been placed at the top of the MS and subsequently crossed out with two strokes. A second hand has added the date ‘1764’ to the top of the MS. There are two corrections to the text, possibly in the hand of Voltaire. The first, on l.3 is in the form of corrected text being written over the top of incorrect text. The second, on l.7, takes the form of omitted text being added superscript. Part of l.6-7 have been underlined.
