The letter was sealed using the ‘Tuck, Fold, and Seal’ method. The wax seal is extant on f.2r and has caused some damage to the same. It has also cause a hole in f.1. The paper has also been folded to create a left-hand margin on both the recto and verso sides. There is a small tear to the lower right-hand corner of f.2r.
