The paper is watermarked with an indistinguishable image contained within a circle. There is text beneath the image, but this is also indistinguishable.

Additional Comments:

The letter was sealed using the ‘Tuck, Fold, and Seal’ method. There is some discolouration to the outer edges of the MS, suggesting that a smaller document was stored on top of it. The MS is sealed with black wax and the seal is extant on the right-hand side of f.2v. The seal has caused some damage to the left-hand side of the same. The lower corner of the MS has been dog-eared and there are several ink blots throughout.
