A short dialogue between a traveller and the gardener of Ferney concerning Voltaire’s tomb.
Detailed Summary:
The traveller asks to be shown where Voltaire’s ashes were laid to rest. The gardener replies that it stirs his heart to approach the tomb. On the reverse of this dialogue is a list of womens’ names.
The number ‘2611’ has been added to the upper right-hand corner of f.1r. Pencil lines were drawn on f.1r to act as a writing guide. There are several minor corrections to f.1v-2r in the form of crossings out. A mathematical sum has been added upside down at the bottom of f.2v.
