Passed at the Weigel sale in Leipzig on 20 September 1865 (Lot. 1440-1465) whereupon it entered the collection of Alfred Bovet. Then passed at the Charavay sale in Paris on 11 June 1889 (Lot.148), another Charavay sale in Paris on 29 May 1911 (Lot. 224), and the Vidal-Mégret sale in Paris on 23 February 1973 (Lot. 211).
