The MS is bound with other letters in the collection in calf.
Additional Comments:
The MS was sealed using the ‘Tuck, Fold, and Seal’ method. The wax seal is no longer extant but has caused some damage to the same. The paper was also folded to create a left-hand margin on both the recto and verso sides. There is some slight staining to the bottom of f.244r. Ink from the previous page has transferred onto the left-hand side of f.244r.

A second hand has added a bibliographical reference to the upper left-hand corner of f.243r. The same hand has also endorsed the MS in the upper right-hand corner of f.234r as ‘Lettre LIV’. Part of l.5-7 on f.234v has been underlined. A Basle postmark has been stamped over the address on f.235v, and a second postmark has been drawn over the same.
