Detailed Summary:
Du Châtelet rebukes Jean Anne Vincent de Larlan de Kercadio, comte de Rochefort for not sending her the duc de Nivernais’s verses to Mme. de Rochefort. She writes that they are waiting for Mahomet which is being rehearsed ready to present to Rochefort if they have the actors in the winter. She adds that M. de Bouflers claims that the Duc de Vilars will come to see it but if he does he will need to hurry because it is to be ready for Tuesday. She begs him to tell Madame Du Defant that she will give her news of the effect she will have had on them by the post on Wednesday. Du Châtelet concludes by sending greetings to Rochefort’s ‘charming circle’ and asks him to think sometimes of ‘poor exiles’.
