Additions:
An unidentified hand has added the following incription to the verso side of the free front endpaper: ‘Rare manuscript formerly the property of Mr. de Voltaire, who presented it to one of the Royal Princes, before it was printed.’ A second inscription of the front flyleaf is no longer legible, except for the phrase ‘à Londres’. The bookplates of Sanlot de Bospin, fermier genéral and Roberti Marchionis de Crewe have been added to the MS.
