Brief Summary:

Partly autograph letter signed from Voltaire to Nicolas Claude Thiriot [D6140]. The top half of the letter has been cut away, leaving the remainder undated, but Besterman has estimated the date as c.6 February 1755. Voltaire is trying to coax Thiriot into visiting him. The valediction, signature and post-script are in his own hand. The address is still partially present, notwithstanding the mutilation of the manuscript.
