The paper has been folded to create a left-hand margin on both the recto and verso sides. The letter was sealed using the ‘Tuck-and-Seal’ method before sending. The wafer seal is extant on f.2v and has caused some damage to the same. There is a cluster of four small ink dots in the lower left-hand corner of f.1r.
