A slip of paper measuring 136 mm x 96 mm has been attached to the letter on f.1v with a small affixed tab. A diagram relating to physics has been drawn on this slip in pencil. A second scientific diagram has been draw at the bottom of f.1v and crossed out. The diagrams appear to be representing the same idea. There are a number of corrections throughout in the form of crossings out and the addition of corrected and/or omitted text superscript. A second, unknown hand has added four note to the MS. The first reads ‘M. de Voltaire’. The second reads ‘a M. De Mairan’. The third is the date ‘1736’. The fourth is the number ’51’.
